For this portfolio, Winkfield supplied Brown with a list of 20 lines of text based on paintings he saw in Brown's studio. But in a mischievous twist, Winkfield wouldn't disclose which line went with which painting, instead asking Brown to select and designate an image for a line of text from which to generate silkscreen prints, resulting in text and image exerting equal influence over the final product.
